At Vaapsi, we provide a structured sober living environment that supports mental, physical, and spiritual healing. Our program helps individuals rebuild their lives through peer support, community engagement, and skill development.
Key Features of the Program
- Personalized Therapy – Participants receive referrals to counseling services for one-on-one and group therapy, utilizing trauma-informed approaches such as CBT, DBT, and art/music therapy to support emotional healing.
- Medical Oversight – Vaapsi ensures participants have access to medical care by providing referrals to trusted medical clinics for ongoing physical and mental health support throughout their recovery journey.
- Physical Wellness – Structured fitness programs, yoga, and recreational activities to promote overall health, discipline, and self-confidence.
- Community Engagement – Encouraging Seva (selfless service) and Kirat Karo (honest living) by actively engaging in volunteering, skill-building, and reintegration initiatives to foster long-term stability.
Reintegration into Society
A key aspect of our program is community reintegration. Participants are encouraged to engage in volunteer work at local gurdwaras, participate in skill-building workshops, and job training programs to prepare them for meaningful employment. By fostering a strong peer support network through the Saathi mentorship system, we ensure that participants have ongoing guidance and accountability, even after completing the program.
Peer Support & Mentorship
We foster a strong peer support network through our Saathi mentorship system. Graduates continue to receive guidance from peers, ensuring accountability and a strong support system, even after completing the program. Graduates of Vaapsi become part of the Vaapsi Family, a growing network of alumni and mentors who continue to support each other through:
- Monthly Group Meetings – Regular check-ins where alumni can share their progress, challenges, and successes, while receiving guidance from peers and mentors.
- Peer-Led Support Groups – Facilitated discussions on mental wellness, career goals, and personal development to ensure participants stay engaged and focused.
- Saathi Mentorship System – Graduates have the opportunity to become mentors for new participants, providing encouragement, guidance, and lived-experience wisdom.
